Is Tackle HUD free?
Yes. Tackle HUD is completely free to download and use, with no subscription and no paywall. An account is optional for restore and synchronization.
How do I get Tackle HUD?
Use the access link on this site for your device. The iOS public listing is being prepared, and Android access is currently collected through the waitlist.
Does Tackle HUD require an account?
No account is required to create and edit a local box. Connect a Tackle HUD account only when you want restore or synchronization.
Which Plano EDGE boxes are supported?
The current starting templates are Classic 3600, Classic 3700, Plano EDGE 3700, and Plano EDGE Flex 3700. The grid is illustrative, so confirm the physical dividers against your own box.
How does trip readiness work?
Define the gear a trip needs, compare those requirements with a saved box, and review missing quantities or mismatched tackle before you leave.
How does sync work?
Your local library remains the working copy. When you connect your Tackle HUD account, queued changes can restore and synchronize the boxes that belong to that account.
Do I need an account to set up a tackle box?
No. Manual and custom box setup works offline without an account. Photo suggestions are optional and require an account and internet connection.
What happens when I use photo suggestions?
After you confirm, Tackle HUD resizes the selected image and removes embedded metadata, including location. It is sent to the Tackle HUD analysis service and Microsoft Azure OpenAI for one analysis. It is not added to your box or account sync. Microsoft standard abuse monitoring may select flagged prompts and completions for storage and review; see our Privacy Policy for the provider details.
Can I correct the photo suggestions?
Yes. The result is an editable draft. Review compartment labels, tackle names, and quantities, make corrections, and save only what you want to keep.
What iOS version is required?
Tackle HUD requires iOS 16 or later on iPhone and iPad.
